Procedure

BOTOX® Cosmetic is a purified substance made from botulinum toxin type A, which works by blocking the facial muscles from contracting, allowing the wrinkles caused by muscle contraction to smooth out. The number of injections will depend on the severity of the patient’s wrinkles and his or her unique facial features.

It is important that patients do not rub or massage the treatment area, as this can cause the botulinum toxin to migrate to other parts of the face.
