Facelift
One of the most effective ways to make a dramatic improvement in your appearance is with the facelift procedure. At our Wichita, Kansas area practice, we have a reputation for youthful, natural-looking facelift results. A properly performed facelift can reduce the appearance of wrinkles and tighten sagging skin. The procedure, commonly performed on individuals over the age of 40, may be combined with liposuction to remove excess fat from the neck and face for a slimmer and more proportionate appearance. A facelift is typically performed under general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure at our Wichita, Kansas practice, and temporary side effects may include discomfort, swelling, bruising, and numbness. Most patients are able to return to work and other light activities in one to two weeks.
Blepharoplasty
Patients as young as 30 may be concerned with signs of aging in the eye area, including sagging eyelid skin, lower eyelid puffiness, and wrinkles. An eyelid lift, also known as blepharoplasty, can effectively create a more open and youthful eye area by removing excess skin and tightening underlying tissues with only minimally visible incisions and scarring. For even greater results, blepharoplasty may be combined with a facelift procedure at our Wichita, Kansas plastic surgery practice. Typically performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia, an eyelid lift may cause temporary side effects, including tearing, swelling, blurred vision, bruising, dry eye sensation, and sensitivity to light. In about one week, most patients are able to return to work and other non-strenuous activities.
Neck Lift
A neck lift procedure helps define the face by targeting excess, sagging skin around the neck. A neck lift can be used to create a leaner, more youthful appearance and may be combined with the facelift procedure at our Wichita, Kansas plastic surgery office for enhanced results. Typically performed as an outpatient procedure, a neck lift is an ideal treatment because the tiny incisions can be placed behind the ears to ensure a completely natural look. Temporary side effects associated with the procedure may include swelling, bruising, and discomfort. Most patients are able to return to work and normal activities in one to two weeks.
Brow lift
A brow lift, also called a forehead lift, is a procedure in which the eyebrows are raised to a higher position to eliminate prominent forehead wrinkles for a naturally relaxed and more youthful appearance. The brow lift, most often performed on individuals over the age of 40 as an outpatient procedure, is associated with temporary side effects like numbness, discomfort, bruising, and swelling. Typically, patients can expect to return to work and light activities in as little as one week
Lip Augmentation
Lip augmentation or enhancement can be achieved using soft tissue fillers. Fillers are ideal for improving the size and shape of the lips with one convenient office visit. Follow-up treatments are required every three to six months to maintain results.
Lip Reduction
Lip reduction can be performed to improve facial proportions and enhance self-confidence. Excess lip tissue is removed through tiny incisions that are hidden in the natural lip contour, reducing fullness in overly large, puffy, or uneven lips for a more balanced appearance that beautifully compliments other facial features. Lip reduction can be performed under local or general anesthesia as an outpatient procedure, and patients may experience temporary side effects including swelling and discomfort. Most patients are able to resume normal activities in less than one week.
Otoplasty
Otoplasty, or ear pinning, can improve facial balance by reducing the appearance of prominent ears. Otoplasty may be performed on children as young as four years old, who may become self-conscious due to ridicule from peers, or on older individuals who are uncomfortable with the size or shape of their ears. At our Wichita, Kansas cosmetic surgery office, otoplasty is typically performed as an outpatient procedure. Temporary side effects may include swelling, bruising, and discomfort. Most individuals return to normal activities in as little as five to seven days.
Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, or nose reshaping, can make a dramatic change in one’s overall appearance and significantly improve one’s self-confidence. Adjustments to size, shape, or alignment can enhance facial balance and proportions for a nose that naturally complements the individual’s surrounding features. Typically performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation, rhinoplasty may cause temporary side effects like discomfort, bruising, and swelling. Most patients are able to return to work and light activities in as little as 5 days.

Ear Lobe Repair
Miracle Makeovers dramatically change one’s look but sometimes the simplest change can make the biggest impact. Your ears are not only one of the most visible parts of your body but also very fashionable and make a major statement by how they look and what jewelry you wear.
How many women do you know that have pulled down long earlobes or tears in their ears? Many women and men suffer from this problem as they wear jewelry to enhance their appearance. This may be due to the fact that they may wear earrings that are too heavy, hang low, or due to the pressure of their ear pressed against the telephone.
This is not just a problem exclusive to older women. I recently saw a young patient whose ears were pierced too low and had nearly completely pulled through. Over a period of time, your hole will gradually enlarge. The final tear is usually through a small piece of tissue at the bottom of your ear lobe creating what is called a cleft.
These tears are often split and are very visible and may be hard to cover with your hair. You may ask if there is something that can be done to repair your stretched or torn ear. The answer is yes.
The Ear Lobe Repair Procedure
There are several different types of repairs that can be done all in the office under local anesthesia usually within an hour. The degree of your tear will determine the type of procedure you will need. There is minimal discomfort after earlobe repair and you will not need to have any prescription medicine other than antibiotic after your surgery.
There is no downtime. Restrictions are no earrings for six weeks. There is little to no pain afterwards. You will experience some sensitivity after surgery but after a few days, it will go away. Stitches are removed in 5 to 7 days.
To prevent tears in the future, you should wear lightweight or stud earrings as much as possible. There is a wide variety of elegant jewelry that can be worn during and after the healing period. Secondly, you should always ask your jeweler to adjust the tension on your earrings. Finally, avoid pulling on earrings and remember to take earrings out around young children. They tend to pull on shiny objects.
Cost of Surgery.
At the time of your initial consultation, you will be quoted a price. The cost is not covered by any insurance plan since it is considered cosmetic surgery. Fees are due in full at least two weeks prior to surgery and a security deposit will reserve a specific time and date for your surgery.
